The Founder's Journey
People often ask me why I started From the Ground Up Fairy.
The answer is simple—I lived it.
At just 20 years old, I became a single mom. Overnight, my entire world changed. I was raising a little boy while trying to figure out who I was, all while carrying the weight of postpartum depression. There were days I felt completely lost, exhausted, and overwhelmed. Days when I questioned if I was enough.
I worked endless hours because I had no other choice. Every paycheck had a purpose before I even earned it. I remember wondering how I was going to pay the bills, keep food on the table, and give my son the life he deserved. There wasn't a safety net. Most days, it was just me, doing everything I could to make tomorrow a little easier than today.
But something incredible happens when you become a mother.
You discover a strength you never knew existed.
The kind of strength that keeps you going after sleepless nights. The kind that pushes through fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty. The kind that would move mountains if it meant your child would never have to feel the weight you carry.
That strength carried me through some of the hardest years of my life.
In 2022, my life began to change when I met the man who would become my husband. For the first time in a long time, I wasn't carrying everything alone. Together we built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Today, we're married, raising our beautiful family, and preparing to welcome our third child into the world.
While my life looks different today, I have never forgotten where I came from.
I haven't forgotten the nights I cried after my son went to sleep because I didn't know how I was going to make it work. I haven't forgotten the feeling of being overwhelmed, isolated, and wondering if anyone saw how hard I was trying. I haven't forgotten what it feels like to choose between necessities, to worry about the holidays, or to simply wish someone would say, "How can I help?"
Those memories are the heart of From the Ground Up Fairy.
This nonprofit isn't just about providing groceries, toys, clothing, or financial assistance. It's about restoring hope. It's about reminding parents that they are not alone. It's about showing families that even during life's hardest seasons, there is a community willing to stand beside them.
Because sometimes the greatest gift isn't the food on the table or the presents under the tree.
It's knowing someone cared enough to help.
I started From the Ground Up Fairy because I know firsthand that one act of kindness can change someone's entire outlook. I know what it's like to build your life from the ground up, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to keep moving forward—even when life feels impossible.
This organization is my promise that no parent should have to face those moments alone if we can help.
From one mother who has been there to another…
You are stronger than you know.
You are seen.
You are worthy.
And no matter how difficult today may feel, there is always hope for tomorrow.
With love.

Our Rooted History
October 2025: A Year of Urgent Action
The Spark of Hope
When local food assistance programs faced unprecedented delays, we recognized a crisis in our neighborhood. In early 2025, we mobilized volunteers to provide essential groceries to over 20 families trapped in the gap. This wasn't just about food; it was about ensuring that no parent had to go to sleep wondering how they would fill their child's lunchbox the next morning.
November 2025: Cultivating Community
Expanding Our Reach
The holidays can be the most isolating time for families in financial distress. In November, we expanded our mission to include seasonal support, providing 15 multi-generational households with full Thanksgiving harvests. Our goal was simple: to ensure that the dignity of a shared meal and the joy of abundance were accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of their circumstances.
December 2025: Bringing hope to the holiday
A Community Christmas
We are professionalizing our operations and expanding our reach even further. Our inaugural year of direct holiday magic saw 15 children wake up to full Christmas stockings and personalized gifts, but our vision is larger. We are building a sustainable network of compassion that moves beyond reactive help into proactive community building, ensuring every child feels the magic of being seen.
